Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei rejects the recent U.S. nuclear offer, calling it a threat to the regime’s “national independence.”
In a speech on the 36 anniversary of the death of Ruhollah Khomeini, Khamenei today said:
“Who are you to tell Tehran whether we should have a nuclear programme or not? The U.S. nuclear proposal is 100% against the principle of our power. Tehran will not abandon its uranium enrichment activity.”
